Through a diversification and internationalization strategy initiated in 1997, De Agostini has gradually expanded its activities from the traditional publishing sector to other sectors, each belonging to an independent sub-holding:

  • De Agostini Editore: is the sub-holding company active in the publishing sector in 29 countries with publications in 12 languages and organised into areas by product: De Agostini Publishing (partworks through subscription commerce and retail), De Agostini Libri S.r.l., in joint venture with Mondadori Libri S.p.A. and Digital De Agostini Editore.
  • DeA Communications: is the media and communication sector sub-holding comprising the Group's interests in broadcasting, content production and distribution for television, new media and cinema. After the acquisition of Endemol Shine, the Banijay Group has become the first international player in the production and distribution of audiovisual content with a portfolio of over 200 successful global productions. The De Agostini Group indirectly holds 11.3% of the Banijay Group. ATRESMEDIA, Spanish radio and television group listed on the Madrid stock exchange, of which a strategic share is held in partnership with the Spanish partner Planeta Corporation, is co-leader of the Spanish television market.
  • IGT: world global player in the casino industry and gaming entertainment sector, listed on the New York Stock Exchange. De Agostini S.p.A. controls IGT with a majority share. IGT has extensive know-how for developing gaming systems and products and sports betting systems through the provision of terminals, hardware and software. In Italy IGT Lottery S.p.A. is the state concessionaire for all lotteries (Gioco del Lotto, Gratta e Vinci and Lotteria Italia) and commercial and financial services.
  • DeA Capitalis one of the most important Italian operators in Alternative Investment, active in alternative investments and asset management (Real Estate, Credit, Private Equity e Multi-asset / Multi-manager) in Italy, through DeA Capital Alternative Funds SGR S.p.A. and DeA Capital Real Estate SGR S.p.A. and abroad through the companies DeA Capital Real Estate France, DeA Capital Real Estate Iberia, DeA Capital Real Estate Poland e DeA Capital Real Estate Germany.
