Marco Drago

From July 2018 he is the President of the Board of Directors of B&D Holding S.p.A. (formerly B&D Holding di Marco Drago e C. S.a.p.A., of which he was President of the Board of Partners since 2006).

In June 2022 Marco Drago has been appointed Chairman Emeritus of De Agostini S.p.A., the holding company of the De Agostini Group, leaving the Chairmanship held since 1997.

As Chief Executive Officer of the Editorial Group during the 80s and 90s he was the driving force behind the exceptional growth in Italy and especially abroad. With more than hundred years of activities today De Agostini Editore operates in around 29 countries with publications in 12 languages through the following companies: De Agostini Publishing, De Agostini Libri and Kids Content division.

Since 2000, as part of a strong diversification strategy, he has led the Group to expand in the following sectors:

- Lotteries, gaming and services with IGT a worldwide leader operating in more than 100 countries, listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
- Media and Communication with ATRESMEDIA in Spain (in joint venture with Planeta Group, leading company in TV and radio) and Banijay Group (merged into FL Entertainment in 2022), one of the largest independent companies in the world in the production and distribution of content for television and multimedia platforms.
- Finance, with DeA Capital, listed on the Milan Stock Exchange as well, managing private equity investments through equity investments held directly in companies or indirectly with the presence in several international funds. DeA Capital also operates in the Alternative Asset Management through the platform represented by DeA Capital Alternative Funds SGR S.p.A. and DeA Capital Real Estate SGR S.p.A.
- Insurance, until 2006 with Toro Assicurazioni, then sold to Assicurazioni Generali, of which the Group has then become a shareholder until April 2022.

Today the De Agostini Group is operating worldwide, with revenues of 3,8 bln/€ and over 12.000 employees.

From July 2018 he is the President of the Board of Directors of B&D Holding S.p.A. (formerly B&D Holding di Marco Drago e C. S.a.p.A., of which he was President of the Board of Partners since 2006).
He is also Vice President of Planeta De Agostini Group, Honorary Chairman of De Agostini Editore, Director of Atresmedia, IGT and S. Faustin (Techint Group).

Born in Settimo Torinese, in 1946, he graduated in Economics and Business at Università Bocconi in Milan in 1969.
He started his career that same year in the family company joining Istituto Geografico De Agostini.

In 1997 he replaced Achille Boroli as Chairman of De Agostini Holding SpA, having previously fulfilled as Executive Officer and Managing Director.

In 1970 he married Donata Morandi and they have three children: Marcella, graduate in Modern Literature, Enrico and Nicola, both graduate in Economics at Università Bocconi.

He has received important awards such as “Bocconiano dell’anno” in 2001, and was made “Cavaliere del Lavoro” in 2003.

Lorenzo Pellicioli

Born on July 29, 1951 in Alzano Lombardo (Bergamo). Married, three children. He lives in Milan.

He started his career as a journalist for the newspaper Giornale Di Bergamo and afterwards he became Bergamo TV Programmes Vice President.

From 1978 to 1984, he held different posts in the sector of the Italian private television for Manzoni Pubblicità, Publikompass up to his nomination as Rete4 General Manager.

In 1984, he joined the Gruppo Mondadori Espresso, the first Italian publishing group. He was initially appointed General Manager for Advertising Sales and Mondadori Periodici (magazines) Vice General Manager and afterwards President and CEO of Manzoni & C. S.p.A, advertising rep of the Group.

During this period he contributes to modernizing the commercial sales techniques of news media adapting them to a market prevailed more and more by the television media. In addition, at the same time he participates in launching news magazines such as Donna Moderna and Marie Claire.

From 1990 to 1997, he was appointed first President and CEO of Costa Cruise Lines in Miami, being part of Costa Crociere Group operating in the North American market (USA, Canada and Mexico) and then became Worldwide General Manager of Costa Crociere S.p.A., based in Genoa.

From 1995 to 1997 he was also appointed President and CEO of the Compagnie Française de Croisières (Costa-Paquet), the Paris-based subsidiary of Costa Crociere.

Having coming back to Europe in 1993, he leads the cruising European market development whose Costa Crociere is the unchallenged European leader. By using all the marketing techniques available, Costa tranforms the item cruise from dusty and old-fashioned holidays into young and up-to-date ones, doubling the outstanding performance of the north American market.

As from 1997, he took part to the privatization of SEAT Pagine Gialle purchased by a group of financial investors. After the acquisition he was appointed CEO of SEAT.

It respresents the greatest European buy-out leverage of the time. During the following two years Seat changes from being a governmental and traditional company into one of the leading company of the new economy thanks to the launch of Yellow Pages Online and the telephone service 892424 and buying the Viriglio portal both.

In February 2000, he was also in charge of the “Internet Business Unit” of the Telecom Italia Group following the sale of SEAT. In September 2001, following the acquisition of Telecom Italia by the Pirelli Group, he resigned.

In June 2022 he has been appointed Chairman of the De Agostini Group, a family-owned international group, organized as a financial conglomerate operating in industrial sectors (Publishing through De Agostini Editore, Media & Communication through Banijay Group Holding and Grupo Planeta-De Agostini/Atresmedia, Games and Services through IGT) and in the financial sector (through DeA Capital), having held the position of CEO since November 2005

In January 2022 Lorenzo Pellicioli retired as Chairperson of the IGT Board of Directors and remains a non-executive Director.

He is member of the Board of Directors of Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A.

He is also member of the Advisory Board of Palamon Capital Partners.

He was formerly also a member of the Boards of Directors of Enel, INA-Assitalia, Toro Assicurazioni and of the Advisory Board of Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking.

On April 3, 2017 he was honoured with the title of Chevalier dans l'ordre de la Légion d'Honneur.

Enrico Drago

Enrico Drago serves as founder and Senior Vice President of IGT PlayDigital and Sports, leading an award-winning portfolio of digital gaming products, platforms and services. In 2021 he has been appointed CEO of the Digital & Betting segment of IGT.

He is also Vice Chairman of De Agostini S.p.A., the holding company of De Agostini Group, and an advisor for Nina Capital, a leading European venture capital firm fueling the growth of health technology companies.

In 2014, Drago joined IGT as Chief Operating Officer for Lottomatica, overseeing business strategy and operations. Prior to IGT, he led teams for Inditex Italia, joining the company through a leadership program for high-potential managers.

Drago was selected as the Italy Chief Operating Officer for brands Bershka, Pull & Bear, Zara Home, Oysho, Stradivarius and Massimo Dutti and appointed to Inditex Italia Managing Director in 2011.

Before his roles with Inditex Italia, Drago worked with Puig Beauty and Fashion. Drago holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Navarra’s IESE Business School and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bocconi University.

Proudly married to his wife, Federica, they live in San Francisco, California, with their four children.

Nicola Drago

Nicola Drago, born in 1978, married and father of two daughters, graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Università Bocconi, worked at Sonenshine Partners in New York and at McKinsey in Milan, and subsequently earned an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

Since 2008, he has held various positions at De Agostini Group, starting as controller and M&A manager at Zodiak Media Group (now Banijay Group), in Paris.

In 2016, he was appointed CEO of De Agostini Publishing, global leader in print and collectibles that, at the time, was in the middle of a severe business and financial crisis.

In this capacity, he focused among others on the revamping of the product pipeline and on a massive switch of distribution channel from the traditional point of sales (retail/kiosks) to direct-to-consumer, ultimately accomplishing a full company turnaround.

Saving and transforming his family’s legacy business earned him the “EY Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2021.

In 2020 Nicola was appointed CEO of De Agostini Editore, the holding company of Publishing and Books/Education divisions.

In 2021, he became Vice-President of De Agostini Group.

He co-founded the venture capital fund Connect Ventures in London and sits on the Board of Directors of De Agostini, DeA Capital and of several non-profit organizations including Ubuntu Pathways, Opes Impact Fund and Fondazione De Agostini.

Marco Sala

Marco Sala started his career in Kraft in 1985 and in 1997 he moved on to Magneti Marelli (a Fiat Group company).

In 2001 he joined SEAT Pagine Gialle as Head of the Business Directories Division. He was subsequently appointed CEO of Buffetti.

In 2003 he joined Lottomatica as Co-General Manager and member of the Board of Directors.

In August 2006 Lottomatica acquired GTECH, and the new company was later renamed as GTECH S.p.A. He was appointed CEO of the Company’s Italian Operations (Lottomatica) with responsibility of other European activities.

From 2009 to 2015, he held the position of Chief Executive Officer of GTECH S.p.A.

From April 2015 to January 2022 he was Chief Executive Officer of IGT PLC, following the acquisition of IGT by GTECH and the rebranding of the group as IGT.

Since January 2022 Mr. Sala has served as Executive Chair of the IGT PLC Board of Directors.

In April 2022, he became Executive Chair of DeA Capital.

In June 2022, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) of De Agostini S.p.A.

He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Save The Children Italy.

Mr. Sala graduated from Bocconi University in Milan, majoring in Business and Economics.
