Privacy Policy for Processing of Personal Data of Users

De Agostini S.p.A. (hereinafter “De Agostini” or the “Company”) firmly believes that transparency is a key principle of its business culture. For this reason, the Company wants to be totally clear about how it uses personal data.

The ways in which this website (hereinafter the “Website”) is managed, in terms of how the personal data of users who consult it are processed, are explained below.

This privacy policy is provided pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2017/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”).

 

1. Data Controller

The data controller is De Agostini S.p.A., with registered office in Via G. da Verrazano 15 – 28100 Novara (NO) – Italy (hereinafter the “Controller”).

 

2. Data processed

Browsing data

During normal operations, the IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Website acquire some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.

This type of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users who connect to the Website, addresses in URI/URL notation (Uniform Resource Identifier/Locator) of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's IT environment.

The Website uses cookies as better specified in the Cookie Policy.

Data provided by the user

The sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated on this Website  - on an optional and voluntary basis - entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, which is needed to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the communication (such as name, surname, telephone number, etc.).

 

3. Purpose and legal basis of data processing

Without prejudice to what was said above about browsing data, the personal data provided by users through the site are processed for the following purposes:

a) to allow the execution of the operations strictly connected to the management of the relationships with users, such as handling and responding to communications received at the e-mail addresses indicated on the Website;

b) for purposes of statistical research/analysis on aggregated or anonymous data (without the possibility of identifying the user), to measure the workings of the Website and its operational functions, including the resolution of any technical problem.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data for the purposes referred to in point a) is providing a service or responding to a request, which do not require the consent of the users, while the purpose referred to in point b) does not involve the processing of personal data.

 

4. Data recipients

The data processed may be disclosed to the following categories:

• staff of De Agostini, expressly authorised to process data;
• professionals, external companies, technology partners, managers of social platforms, Group companies, acting as Data Processors or as Data Controllers;
• public authorities.

De Agostini does not transfer data to non-EU countries.

 

5. Conservation times

For requests for information on the Company or the Group, the data provided by the persons concerned will be kept by the Company for the time necessary to respond to such requests.

 

6. Rights of persons concerned

Under the applicable legislation, you can:

• ask the Data Controller to access your personal data and correct or cancel them or limit how they are processed;
• oppose the processing of your personal data;
• exercise the right to data portability;
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Updates

This privacy policy will be effective from the date indicated in its heading.

De Agostini might change and/or integrate this document, also as a consequence of further modifications and/or integration of the privacy regulation.
